There was a time in Bollywood when Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan’s dominated the front pages of newspapers whenever they were taken together. Both the actors have had an unpleasant relationship and are infamous for one of the ugliest and memorable fights in Bollywood. Earlier in 2003, Vivek had called a press conference where he claimed that Salman had threatened him over phone calls. Recently, while talking to a leading daily, the actor opened up on the consequences of the controversy, his failed stardom post-Saathiya and how things changed on the work front for him in Bollywood.

While sharing his mind, Vivek, who was last seen in Bank Chor, opened up on his failed stardom and even after giving hit films how he sat at home without work. Recalling his thoughts, he said “It was like a fatwa issued against me from the powers that be.”

Vivek further added, “Even if I gave a hit, work wouldn’t follow. Shootout at Lokhandwala became a huge hit but I sat at home for a year after that.”
