Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was hospitalised last night in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital following swelling in his right leg. The actor had, reportedly, complaint of high fever on Tuesday morning after which he was given medicines and asked to rest. However, he started complaining of leg swelling and weakness in the evening after which he was admitted.
When contacted, his wife and veteran actress Saira Banu revealed that he was in ICU. However, there was nothing to worry as the actor was undergoing a routine checkup. Reporting the news today morning, ANI had tweeted:

The 94-year-old actor has been doing well since April this year when he was last admitted to the hospital. Originally named as Mohammad Yusuf Khan, the actor has acted in more than 70 films in his career span of around 54 years. Films like Madhumati, Naya Daur, Ganga Jamuna, Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ram Aur Shyam and Karma, among others remain the top films of his career. He was last seen in Hindi film Qila (1998). He was honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
