Esha Gupta’s nude photo shoot garnered a lot of hatred on social media. Trolls did not leave a chance to spew hatred against the actress and even targeted her for the complexion. Esha said in an interview that people spewing hatred because of her color were hypocrites as India is the land of dusky people. She said in the west, the brown colour is celebrated but the same garners criticism in the country.
Taking on trolls and haters, Esha told a leading daily in an interview, “I am proud of the way I look. In Europe, brown skin is celebrated. In India, I have to face discrimination for my complexion. I am considered kaali and there are people who refer to my skin colour as kaala. It’s sheer hypocrisy. I am made to feel bad about the way I look when 90 per cent girls in India look like me. They have the same skin tone as mine, dark brown eyes and are voluptuous. There are very few women who have a light skin colour.”
Well, we are glad Esha Gupta stood up for herself and shut trolls once again. Racism of any form is absolutely uncalled for, especially in a country where the majority of people are dusky or dark in complexion.

This is not the first time that Esha Gupta has shut down haters in a classic way. When her haters trolled her for putting semi-nude images, she had said:
In our country, women are eternally blamed. They are accused when a girl child is born; they are accused even when they are raped. So, somewhere I knew that I will also have to face a lot of heat. After all, it’s easiest for some faceless and redundant people to pull a celebrity down at the first opportunity. I’ve done shoots like this one when I was a model. I’ve gone topless and naked, too. No one ever asked me about that. And who are these people who have ‘issues’ with my pictures? It’s my body and it’s been shot aesthetically.
Esha Gupta will be seen next in Baadshaaho which also features Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ilena D’Cruz and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles. As far as her pictures are concerned, we are glad Esha gives it back to haters in style every time.
