The fourth instalment of the biggest Indian comic franchise, Golmaal Again will hit the big screen this weekend. Post the success of Judwaa 2, the trade is expecting Golmaal Again to win over the audience and emerge as a winner at the Box Office as well. The theatrical trailer as well music struck the right chord with the audience and has successfully generated a huge amount of buzz.
The film is expected to embark on a strong start at the Box Office with Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Bihar expected to be the best performing circuits. While Mumbai and Gujarat are Rohit Shetty’s stronghold, Golmaal Again is expected to perform well in Rajasthan and Bihar as well due to its commercial appeal and being of the comedy genre. Though the screen allotment is still in progress, the film is expected to release on 3500 screens in India.
While the major multiplex chains have decided to allot an equal number of shows to Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar, the single screens and other cinema halls in B and C centres are expected to favour the Ajay Devgn film. Though the competition from Aamir Khan-starrer Secret Superstar will definitely restrict Golmaal Again from exploring its true potential, the film is still is expected to open in the range of Rs 26 to 28 crore. Had the film secured a greater number of screens at the multiplexes, it could have had the possibility of breaching past the Rs 30 crore mark, however, with a fewer number of screens it would be an uphill task for the film to attain the feat.

The biz should drop by around 25% on its second day as the film would be coming off from a holiday on Friday. Taking into account all the factors including the clash, the opening weekend of Golmaal Again is expected to be in the range of Rs 73 to 77 crore.
Box Office Prediction:
Opening Day: Rs 26 to 28 crore
Opening Weekend: Rs 73 to 77 crore
The lifetime collection of Golmaal Again would depend upon the audience word of mouth and the hold on collections on Monday would decide the fate of the film. The budget of Golmaal Again is Rs 80 crore and the film would be termed a clean hit in India at collections above Rs 120 crore. Given the fact that Golmaal 3 raked in Rs 110 crore back in 2010, it should be easier for Golmaal Again to breeze past the Rs 120 crore mark due to inflation and rise in ticket prices.
