Actor Rahul Khanna has taken to Instagram to share a sweet memory from his childhood with father Vinod Khanna. Rahul, who is the eldest son of the late actor, posted a picture on Monday, which has him along with his brother, Akshaye Khanna. In the photo, a young Vinod Khanna is playing with both Rahul and Akshaye at the sea-side.
Vinod Khanna, who was also a sitting MP from Gurdaspur, passed away on April 27 because of cancer. It should be noted that the actor was suffering from bladder cancer from the last six years but he chose to not let his fans know about the ailment.
The photo also comes as the first memory shared by anyone from the family of the Qurbaani actor. Rahul has captioned the image as: “Feels like yesterday.”
Vinod Khanna left many of his fans and industry colleagues in deep grief when he left the world last month. The actor was admitted at HN Reliance Hospital. Many celebs, including Sanjay Dutt, paid him a visit during his last days. In fact, as told by the producer of Dutt’s next film, Bhoomi, the actor was numb when he met an ailing Vinod Khanna in the hospital. Dutt used to consider Khanna as his father and the hospital scene took him back to the days when his own father, Sunil Dutt was hospitalised.
