Every love story is different with it’s own story and if it’s about Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi’s love story, the interest quotient reaches heights. The love story of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Maino have made headline right from the beginning and even now, year later they are again making it on the top. Actor Karanvir Bohra is all set to produce and star in a short film based on Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi’s love story ‘Ijazat’. The first look of the short film is out as well.
Karanvir will play Rajiv in the film while Priya Banerjee plays the role of Sonia in the short film. Priya was last seen staring in movie Jazba.
In the first look, the lead actors have re-created an old photograph of Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi where both are enjoying ice-cream from a vendor near India Gate.
The shoot of the film will be in English and Italian which will begin later this month. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Commenting on the film Karanvir said, “this is a tribute to them. We have fictionalized a few things, though.” He further asserted, “There is no political agenda to grab eyeballs. It is a simple film, made to create a different content for audiences.”

The film starts from the point, when Rajiv Gandhi-Sonia met for the first time.
