It's a new poster and a new release date for Shah Rukh Khan's Raees

The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees just got released and the makers have not only come up with a new poster of the movie, but have also announced a new release date just a day before the trailer launch. Shah Rukh, who will be seen playing the role of a wicked bootlegger in the movie is flaunting the evil villain look like a boss in the new poster.

The actor took to his Twitter on Tuesday morning and shared the image with his fans with a caption: Aaj Raees ka naya poster dekho… kal trailer dekhne ko milega! Ab #ApnaTimeShuru

Shah Rukh and team decided to change the release date of the film and no, it is not being postponed but has been preponed by a day. You will be surprised to see that the release date of the film is mentioned as January 25, instead of January 26 in the trailer.

At the trailer launch event on Wednesday, SRK cleared the air about the release date and clash with Kaabil. He said:

We had actually decided about the release date long back. First, both the films were going to release on 26th,  so we had decided with our exhibitor and distributors about coming out on 25th. Kaabil I guess is coming out in the evening shows on 25th and we would be coming on the regular shows on the same day. There is nothing like we decided later, it is a wise decision to take knowing that 26th is a holiday.

Recently, SRK also released a video for his fans in which he revealed the trailer release date and also mentioned that he will be interacting live with the audience and will also be answering their questions.

And to increase the curiosity among his fans, Shah Rukh gave a hint about his character in the film in one of the selfies posted on his twitter account with the caption: Battery nahi bolne ka..

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is set in the backdrop of the situation in Gujarat in 1980s and also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.

Earlier, the movie was to be released with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, but then Rakesh Roshan confirmed that the movie will hit the screens at shifted the date to January 25 to avoid the clash. And now after Raees’ changed the release date, both the movies are again going to compete against each other at the Box Office.
