Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 has finally made it to Rs 100 crore club in week 2 of its release and is moving ahead strongly at the box office. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, it is the second installment of Arshad Warsi’s 2013 courtroom drama Jolly LLB.
Despite new releases, the film is doing exceptionally well at the box office and is the third release of this year to cross Rs 100 crore, after Raees and Kaabil. Jolly LLB 2 is Akshay’s 7th 100 crore club film and is also the 4th to film in past 13 months to do so.
Not only this but it also director Subhash Kapoor and actress Huma Qureshi’s first film to cross Rs 100 crore.
Jolly LLB 2 has made many new records at the box office and has proved to be a good choice in Khiladi Kumar’s career. Akshay is also the third actor after Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, with the most number of films which crossed Rs 100 crore mark.
In week 2 of its release, the film did a business of Rs 4.14 crore on Friday, Rs 6.35 crore on Saturday, Rs 7.24 crore on Sunday, Rs 2.48 on Monday and Rs 2.45 on Tuesday, minting a total of Rs 100.37 crore so far.

Made on a budget of Rs 45 crore, Jolly LLB 2 was in profit from day one of its release as the cost was already recovered with satellite, digital and music rights of the film. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in prominent roles.

Well, it will be interesting to see if Jolly LLB 2 be able to make it to Rs 150 crore club in the coming weeks.
