Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Jolly LLB 2 has run into huge trouble after the Bombay High Court gave an order earlier today. The HC asked makers of the film, slated for a release on 10 February, to delete four scenes from it as it defamed the judiciary. It further ordered the makers to modify few dialogues as well. Reports have it that the makers are now planning to move Supreme Court to challenge the lower court’s order.
The issue gained limelight when a lawyer from Nanded, Ajaykumar Waghmare, approached the court seeking the scrapping of the word ‘LLB’ from the film’s title. He also demanded that a few scenes should be deleted, like the one in which lawyers were shown playing cards in the court premises and the judge, hiding under the dais to save himself.
Post this, the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court appointed amicus curiae (friends of the court) to review the film before it released. The makers objected to this and argued that since the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had already given a green signal to the film, the High Court giving orders meant little sense.

But the HC, it seems, didn’t agree much with the makers’ stand and asked them to remove few scenes.
Earlier on February 3, the apex court of the country gave its judgment on the whole issue and refused to put the screening of Jolly LLB 2 on hold.
