We often hear that actors can’t be great friends, but there is one star who has always been very supportive of his friends. And its perfect example is Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla’s friendship. You might have seen their comfortable on-screen chemistry in films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani among others, but you will be surprised to know that the duo shares the same comfort level off-screen as well. As their film Duplicate completes 19 years of its release, Juhi while talking to a leading entertainment portal reveals what makes her friendship with SRK strong.
She reveals how her Yes Boss co-star stood by her side and consoled her when she lost her mother. Talking about the same she said, it was only during the shooting of their film Duplicate when she got close to Shah Rukh Khan. Getting nostalgic about the particular moment she said, “I lost my mother while shooting for Duplicate. We had reached Prague and it was Karan Johar’s birthday the next day, so my mother and I bought a gift for him. Next morning, before I went for the shoot, she left for a walk and never came back. It was very traumatic because just a day before we had reached there and three days later after she met with an accident, we were bringing her back in a coffin. It was devastating for me.”
Further talking about her bonding with SRK, Juhi said that he is special to her because he helped her during difficult times. Juhi and Shah Rukh Khan, who shared the screen space in films like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and One 2 Ka 4, were the much-loved on-screen pair of their times.
