Manhattan attack: Priyanka Chopra takes to Twitter to write about the ever 'resilient' New York City

At least 8 people died and over 10 injured in an attack on Manhattan. Priyanka Chopra, who is in New York to shoot for Quantico season 3, condemned it

Priyanka Chopra has condemned the attack in New York City, which happened on October 31 (US timing), killing at least 8 people and injuring 11. The Quantico star took to Twitter to reveal that she escaped the attack that happened five blocks away from her home. In another tweet, Priyanka said she loved New York and offered her condolences to everyone affected. The US termed this as an “act of terrorism”.

The suspect, a 29-year-old man ploughed through a busy bike path and struck pedestrians and cyclists. The gunman was shot in the stomach before being arrested. Condemning the attack, US President Donald Trump, tweeted that this was done by ‘a very sick and deranged person’. Trump added that the law enforcement is taking a close look into the matter. This attack is being touted as the deadliest one after the attack on twin towers in Septemeber 2001.

The incident that took place in Manhattan, the most densely populated of New York City’s 5 Boroughs, has sent shock waves across the country, and Priyanka too.

The actress has been shooting for the third season of Quantico. A few days ago pictures from the set went viral, which showed Priyanka getting kidnapped in one of the scenes. The show in which Priyanka plays the protagonist- Alex Parrish, has been renewed for a third season despite poor ratings.
