Sridevi’s MOM has hit the Box Office with a bang. The thriller drama, which marks the return of the actress almost after a gap of almost 4 years has been appreciated by the audience. Ravi Udyawar’s directorial debut has managed to do the business of Rs 3 crore approximately on the first day.
Sridevi was last seen in English Vinglish, released in 2012, which did a business of Rs 2,32,00,000 crores. Comparatively, her latest release has performed generously well on the silver screen on its first day. English Vinglish was released in 700 screens while MOM has been released in 1350 screens across India. The film is also released in 456 screens overseas.
MOM is a thriller drama, which focuses on the issue of increasing crimes against women in the country. The film features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna, Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in pivotal roles. MOM also marked as Sridevi’s 300th film.

Produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda and Zee Studios, the film also released in three other languages including Tamil, Telugu and Malyalam. The film has received praises right after hitting the theatres. Some of the viewers suggested that Sridevi has delivered wonderful performance and it is her best film till date.
Film critic Taran Adarsh has called MOM ‘superb’ in his review. He took to Twitter and wrote:

However, the collection of the film at the Box Office is expected to get better in the following days.
