Mubarakan has recorded decent collections in its opening weekend as the film raked in approximately Rs 23 crore in its 3 day run at the Box Office
The comic caper directed by Anees Bazmee was off to a poor start at the Box Office however positive reviews and a good word of mouth seems to have resulted in a growth over the weekend. The collections of the film jumped by 40% on Saturday followed by a further jump of 43% on Sunday. Families, which happens to be the target audience of Mubarakan, came out in huge numbers over the weekend.
Mubarakan has fared the best at regions of Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Mumbai and Rajasthan where there are a good number of Hindi and Punjabi speakers. However, places like Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, where there aren’t many people who speak North Indian languages, were on the lower side.

Day wise Box Office Collection:
Growth over the weekend was essential for a film like Mubarakan whose opening day collection was disastrous to say the least. The real test for the Arjun Kapoor film begins from Monday as the film would need to show a strong hold on its fourth day to reach a respectable total at the Box Office.
Collections below Rs 4 crore on Monday may mean the film’s kitty might close down, however, anything above that number would keep it in contention to emerge as a reasonable success. The film being a general entertainer was expected to bank higher collections than it did on the first couple of days. Since that wasn’t the case, the film is now dependent on a steady flow at the ticket window on the weekdays.
Mubarakan will face stiff competition from Jab Harry Met Sejal on second weekend, and it is essential for the film to stay stable during the weekdays to retain a healthy number of shows in the multiplexes.
Mubarakan also stars Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty in lead.
