Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mother Mehroonisa featured in BBC’s 100 most influential women list

Congratulations Nawazuddin, this must have been one proud moment!

Like every year, BBC’s 100 most influential women list is once again a delightful mix of high-profile and influential women including entrepreneurs, innovators, engineers, sportswomen, business women, fashion icons and artists. After Indian Women’s cricket team captain, Mithai Raj’s name was featured on the list, it was Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s mother Mehroonisa’s name that caught our attention. Yes, his mother Mehroonisa Siddiqui has been named as one of the most influential women by the BBC.

Confirming the news, the Raees star took to Twitter and posted a black and white image of him along with his mother. The proud and ecstatic son wrote: “A Lady who showed courage against all odds being in a conservative Family from a small village-My Mother, 100 Most Influential Women in the world.”
