Not only Shahid Kapoor, these 5 Bollywood actors too nailed the royal warrior avatar

Shah Rukh Khan in Asoka or Ranveer Singh in Bajirao, whose warrior look did you like the most?

After Deepika Padukone, it was Shahid Kapoor’s first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati that conquered social media as soon as it was released. Those heavily kohled eyes and that cut on his cheek was intriguing, royal and sexy. Shahid’s look as Maharawal Ratan Singh, King of Chittor, was a subtle combination of raw machismo and royalty, something close to how we imagine filmy warriors and kings in our minds. Bollywood has had a beautiful history of period dramas and warrior stories, with Padmavati being the latest to be added to the list.

From Prabhas in Baahubali to Salman Khan in Veer, Bollywood has brilliantly captured real as well as fictional warrior stories on celluloid. But, one thing that stands out in most of these movies is the realistic heroism and bravery of the warriors.

Each piece was crafted keeping in mind the fluidity of motion and the duress of the natural elements that the character would have had to go through.
