Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar's 2.o beats Baahubali 2's record, to release in 15 languages

2.o has beaten Baahubali 2 record even before its release. The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar film is releasing more languages than the SS Rajamouli movie

SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster Baahubali 2 has broken most Box Office records and has set new ones in the film industry. But, superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s next 2.o, has broken a record set by the movie already. 2.o is set to release in 15 languages, which is more than the number of languages Baahubali: The Conclusion was released in. The Prabhas and Anushka Shetty starrer had released in five languages — Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.

Robot 2, in fact, is also eying the biggest Indian film release worldwide. The film is set to release on more than 7000 screens in India alone. Even this number is higher than the number of screens

2.o which was expected to hit the theatres in October this year, has been postponed to next January citing post-production reasons. The sci-fi film, also featuring Amy Jackson is a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran. In the movie, the Khiladi Kumar is being introduced to Tamil film industry in the role of an antagonist. The film features Rajinikanth in dual roles – a scientist and a robot.

Released on April 28, Baahubali has taken the Indian Box-Office by storm by earning over Rs 1ooo crore. The film is now inching towards Rs 2000 crore in the global market. The Hindi version of the film, distributed under the banner of Dharma Productions owned by Karan Johar, has collected more than Rs 500 crore.
