Anurag Basu’s much-awaited sci-fi film Jagga Jasoos, which has ex-lover Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, has been in news right from its announcement. The trailer of the film will remind you of Anurag’s previous outing Barfi for sure.
What makes this film more interesting is not only its different storyline but also Ranbir-Katrina’s pairing, since the duo will be seen sharing screen space after a gap of almost 6 years. And now, we got to know that there is one more thing which makes this film hatke.
Pritam, who is the music composer of Jagga Jasoos, has tried to do something different with this film and has finally come up with 29 songs to make it more interesting.
Yes, you heard that right! Jagga Jasoos will have 29 songs in it which will help in taking the story of the film forward. This is not the first time that you will get to hear so many songs in a Bollywood movie. To name a few, we have Indarsabha, a 1932 release which had 70 songs and Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun with 14 songs.

In an interview with DNA, Pritam told that the songs will act as the narrative in the film and said:
You see, Ranbir Kapoor stutters throughout the film; the only time he doesn’t, is when he sings. And every time he expresses an emotion strongly, it’s through songs. Think of the effortlessness and the way the songs are featured in La La Land. They’re part of the story. And the narrative flows forward through it.

The story of Jagga Jasoos is based on Ranbir’s journey and his will to find his missing father. Soon, he meets Katrina and they both embark upon an adventurous journey. The film is all set to hit the theaters on April 7 this year.
Well, it will be interesting to see what more this film has in stock for us.
