Rangoon critic review: Shahid, Kangana and Saif’s love saga is engaging

Is Rangoon the best performance of Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan till date?

Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, and Saif Ali Khan starrer Rangoon is slated to hit your nearby theaters tomorrow. The movie has already piqued the interest of many with its power packed trailer, teasers, and soulful songs. Loosely based on 1942 Hollywood release Casablanca, Rangoon is said to be a drama film based on World War II. This is the third time Shahid is working with Vishal Bharadwaj.

Interestingly, this will be Saif Ali Khan’s second venture with the director after Omkara. As far as Kangana is concerned, this is her first film with Vishal Bharadwaj. With such an interesting star cast, Rangoon is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

It is said that the ace director wanted to shoot for the film right after Omkara but due to some unavoidable circumstances, he had to wait. Rangoon supposedly portrays the life and times of Mary Ann Evans aka Fearless Nadia. The intriguing storyline is written by Mathew Robbins, Sabrina Dhawan, and Vishal Bharadwaj.
