Aamir Khan’s latest offering Dangal is what everyone is talking about these days. Rarely would one come across someone who doesn’t approve of the movie. But, there is one person who is upset with the way he was portrayed in it.
Amid all the claps the have come the Dangal way, PR Sondhi, the real-life coach of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat has taken an offense. According to a report in DNA, Mr Sondhi is miffed with the makers for showing him in a bad light.
Expressing his disappointment, Mr Sondhi said that he was aware of the fictional elements being added to the movie but hoped it wouldn’t have been at his expense.
They have named the character PR Kadam, but somewhere it is loosely based on my life. I have known Mahavirji Phogat for many years and his two daughters trained under me for more than three years and not once did he interfere.

The coach added he would meet Aamir seeking an explanation for the same. He went on to add that the distortion of facts has impacted his image. Mr. Sondhi said that the makers should have briefed him how the coach’s character would be portrayed in the film.
Let us wait to see how the makers react to this concern of the coach.

Meanwhile, there is no stopping for Dangal at the Box Office. Since its release on 23 December, the cinematic tale of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his quest with the society has earned close to Rs 150 crore at the ticket windows.
