It’s been a while, Renuka Shahane. Unfortunately, when we think of you, we immediately think of the time when you fell off the staircase in Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Aapke Hai Koun! And now to see you in the teaser of Excel Entertainment’s 3 Storeys, it’s making many 90s kids nostalgic.

Playing the role of (presumably) a Catholic lady, the film promises to be a crisp thriller about the lives of three women, at 3 stages (or literal storeys?) in their lives surrounded by different challenges. Interestingly, one of the themes of the film also happens to be what looks like ‘Love Jihad’ – coincidentally being debated only recently.
Directed by debutante Abhishek Mukherjee, 3 Storeys is backed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It also stars Pulkit Samrat, Sharman Joshi and Masumeh as the other recognisable faces. But it is Shahane with her grey, short hair who stands out as the most pleasant surprise in the teaser.
