Dabangg released in 2010 earned accolades for Salman Khan for bringing out the most entertaining character of Chulbul Pandey on-screen. After the success of the last two installments of the film, the makers have announced its third part. Earlier it was reported that Sabbir Khan will be directing Salman Khan in Dabangg 3. However, on Friday, July 21, Arbaaz took to social media platform and cleared the air. He took to twitter and rubbished all the reports suggesting the Baaghi helmer will be directing the film and also revealed that he has never been approached for the film.
Arbaaz wrote: “Sabir Khan was never approached to direct or write Dabangg 3. His statement in Mumbai Mirror is untrue and rubbish. Extremely disappointing.”
This is not the first time, Arbaaz Khan came out in open about the rumors, he earlier also took to Twitter and confirmed that he will be directing the film. He wrote: “I will be directing Dabangg 3 whenever it happens, Absolute India carried this rubbish story.”
According to Mumbai Mirror, while talking about the film, Sabbir was quoted as saying: “Yes, I’ve started working on a plan for the film but I can’t say anything until the paperwork is finalised. I am in talks and am really happy that I was one of the directors selected to work on the final script.”

Needless to say, his films have a mass appeal and people easily gets connected with the story. Talking earlier about the kind of work he is keen to do, Sabbir said: “Just to make a mark, I don’t want to make a niche film. I want to tell stories in the most entertaining way. Nothing complex.”
Meanwhile, Sabbir Khan also reacted to Arbaaz Khan’s tweet and wrote: “Contrary to rumours I haven’t been approached for Dabbang 3, as far as I know, Prabhudheva is directing and my best to Arbaaz.”

To be directed by Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 3 will see Salman Khan essaying the main lead. It is expected to go on floor by the end of this year.
