The list of highest paid celebrities all over the world for 2016 was released by Forbes on Monday. Three Bollywood celebrities namely- Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have paid to the list. Shah Rukh Khan took the 65th position, Salman was settled at 71st position and Akshay at the 80th. What is shocking is that Aamir Khan did not make it to the list, more so because his movie Dangal emerged as the biggest blockbuster of 2016.
Shah Rukh Khan’s earnings were estimated to be USD 38 million (Rs 245 crore approximately). The superstar was seen in Fan and Dear Zindagi last year. Interestingly, Fan tanked at the Box Office and turned out to be the biggest disappointment of last year. Though Dear Zindagi performed decently at the Box Office, Shah Rukh Khan’s character was not the principle one, it was Alia’s Kaira.
After Shah Rukh Khan, the second celebrity on the list was Salman Khan. Salman Khan’s earnings were estimated to be around USD 37 million (Rs 238 crore approximately). Salman had delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of his career last year with Sultan. The movie directed by Ali Abbas Zafar earned over Rs 500 crore worldwide.

Akshay Kumar whose all three releases last year- Rustom, Airlift and Housefull 3, made it to the coveted Rs 100 crore club was ensconced at the 80th position in the Forbes’ list. His earnings were recorded at USD 35.5 million (Rs 228 crore).
The Forbes’ list of highest-paid celebrities took into account the time period from June 1, 2016, through June 1, 2017. The earnings were calculated after deducting fees from managers, lawyers and agents. The global is list is topped by American rapper, singer and songwriter Sean Combs with earnings of USD 130 million (Rs 837 crore approximately).
Three of the biggest stars making it to the list is obviously commendable. But it is shocking that Aamir Khan did not make it to the list. Probably because the Forbes’ list considers not only earnings from movies but also from advertisements etc.
