Raees promotion row: Shah Rukh Khan, Excel Entertainment should be booked for creating stampede-like situation at Vadodara Railway Station, reports suggest

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Western Railway) Tarun Barot suggested that Shah Rukh Khan should be booked under IPC section 304a2 (causing death due to negligence) during the promotion of his film Raees. Not only Shah Rukh, but he also feels that Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd, who promoted the film should also be booked under the section of Railway Act in a case which created chaos at the Vadodara railway station. According to reports, Tarun filed his report on 7 April. A report has been filed before the judicial magistrate.

According to the report filed against SRK, it is stated that if the Dear Zindagi actor and his team had not thrown T-shirts and balls towards the people on the station this whole incident would not have taken place. All this happened because Shah Rukh Khan and his team ignored the public safety and security guidelines.

“If Shah Rukh Khan had not thrown T-shirts, balls and other things towards the public, then such an incident would not have occurred, thus owner of Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd Mumbai and film actor Shah Rukh Khan should be booked under the IPC sections 279 (rash and negligent act), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 304a2 (causing death by negligence) and sections of Railway Act 145,152,175 and 179,” stated the report, which was shared by the lawyer of Jitendra Solanki, who had lodged a complaint.
