It seems that the controversy regarding the name of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s baby Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi is not settling anytime soon. Recently, Ssumier Pasricha who is famous for his alter-ego Pammi Aunty grabbed the headlines for his controversial video on YouTube that talked about Saif and Bebo’s new-born baby Taimur.
It all started when Ssumier posted a video talking about how Tamiur’s name has become a point of controversy. He went on to say that a name does not reflect a person’s character. To add on to that point, Ssumier aka Pammi Aunty put across his viewpoints saying that ‘a child named after Gods could grow up to be a criminal’. The video was posted in December.
Interestingly, Pammi Aunty’s manager started getting calls wherein they demanded to delete the video. The manager got calls wherein people said that the video hurt religious sentiments. In an interview given to a leading daily, Ssumier talked about the whole controversy. He said that the video was not meant to harm or hurt anyone. It was a simple sarcastic take on the mentality of people who take the names too seriously.
He added that the video was not made to target anyone neither it had to be taken personally by the people. Ssumier aka Pammi Aunty added that the video was made in good fun and had nothing to do with hurting anyone. He stressed the importance of how people should take things lightly rather than taking them personally.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur raked in a lot of controversy due to the name. Even on Koffee with Karan, Saif Ali Khan went on record to say that it (name controversy) was blown out of proportion. The name had nothing to do with the Turkish conqueror Timur.
