Taapsee Pannu may have carved a niche for herself in the film industry, but the journey to this position wasn’t easy for her. Owing to her mindblowing performance in Pink, Taapsee has become one of the most sought after actresses of Bollywood but she travelled a rocky path. In a hard-hitting post, Tapsee revealed the ugly side of the film industry and how she was blamed for the failure of few movies.
The Facebook post shared on the page of Humans of Bombay, tells all that isn’t known about the film industry. Taapsee explained how she left a career in MBA to become an actress and why the path wasn’t a bed of roses. Taapsee revealed she was treated as a harbinger of bad luck when movies flopped, despite the presence of A-listers in those films.

The 29-year-old actress also said how she was forced to demand lesser pay, signed on projects and then removed from them without being told. She added that despite working in a film like Pink, she had to deal with the stigma even now.
However, Taapsee in the post explained quite clearly that she wouldn’t give up on her values. She said equal pay seems a far-fetched dream, basic amount is something she had to fight for. Taapsee went on to say she was in the film industry because she loved acting and wouldn’t leave it for anything. She wrote
I’m less heroine and more the ‘hero’ in my story and for some that’s a bitter pill to swallow, but then that’s tough…because I’m not going anywhere.
