Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma will share screen space in their upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal which releases on August 4. Fans of both stars are eagerly waiting for the Imtiaz Ali directorial to hit the theatres and hope that unlike their previous releases, the stars this time are able to attain the Blockbuster tag for their film. Shah Rukh’s recent release, Raees was an average grosser whereas Anushka’s home production Phillauri tanked at the Box Office.

But, you will be shocked to know that the ticket prices for the film have gone up to a whopping Rs 2,400. Yes, it’s true! PVR Director’s Cut, a multiplex in Delhi, has valued the tickets at Rs 2,400 in the platinum category. The cine goers will have to shell out an exorbitant amount of money for the shows at 1.20 pm, 3.40 pm, 4.40 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm, 10.20 pm and 11.20 pm on the day of its release. Can you believe that?
Even PVR Cinemas in Select City Walk mall is selling tickets between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,0000. Though the aam aadmi may hesitate to spend such a hefty amount, hardcore fans won’t think twice to empty their pockets and stretch their legs in the luxurious theatre to watch the film on the day of its release.
Jab Harry Met Sejal marks Shah Rukh Khan’s third collaboration with Anushka Sharma after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The duo will share the screen space again in Aanand L Rai’s untitled film that is also set to feature Katrina Kaif. The 51-year-old actor is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the romantic drama translates into a commercial success. Besides a home release and in traditional overseas markets like North America, United Kingdom, UAE and Australia, JHMS will also release in South America and other European countries.
