Salman Khan is sharing screen space with his younger brother Sohail Khan in his upcoming film Tubelight. He plays a man named Laxman while the latter plays his younger brother who is an army officer. The 51-year-old actor took to Instagram and shared a childhood photograph of him with his sibling.
“Bandhu @sohailkhanofficial aur Captaan ka Bhaihood,” he posted. The cute picture has garnered around 1.30 lakh views on the photo-blogging site. Salman and Sohail have previously featured in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Veer. Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight is a story of Laxman’s quest for his brother who goes missing during the 1962 Indo-China War. The film also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, late Om Puri and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub. Shah Rukh Khan has made a guest appearance in the June 23 release. For the film, a total of 600 actors were hired to play soldiers. The Indian Army officials trained them.
The trailer of themuch-awaited film was released last week and has received an overwhelming response. The 2.24 minute long trailer has generated more than 12 million views on YouTube and the film is touted to be a blockbuster by his fans.
Produced by Salman and his mother Salma Khan, Tubelight marks the third collaboration between the actor and Kabir Khan after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Both the films released in 2012 and 2015 respectively turned out to be blockbusters. Currently, Salman is busy promoting Tubelight while shooting for his December release Tiger Zinda Hai.
