The production work on Tiger Shroff’s upcoming — Munna Michael is in full swing. The film, which has been directed by Baaghi fame Sabbir Khan is about a die-hard Michael Jackson fan. Considering the tremendous fandom Tiger has for the pop-star, the script of the film was tailor-made for him. While the actor is preparing hard for the film, seems like even other people associated with it are leaving no stone unturned too.
The music composer of the film, Tanishk Bagchi has a big role to play. While the songs in the film have to have a Bollywood touch, there’s an added challenged to it. The songs in Munna Michael need to look inspired from the Michael Jackson-styled music. For this, Bagchi did some ground research and met many MJ fans, both in India and abroad. The team of the film also got in touch with the fans through social media.
The movie also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sana Saeed, Vivaan Shah among many others. Talking about the kind of songs the film has, Bagchi said:
Micheal Jackson is a legend and his fan following after these decades gone by still remains strong and intact. What I find extremely powerful is that his fan following break through all languages and communal barriers. People, even in India, in the most unlikely places follow his music and idolise him as a pop star. Thus, it was imperative and inspirational for me to reach out to his fans from across cities and towns and gather some kind of a feeling of what they would expect a rendition of his songs to sound like. I connected with people via social media, asked them questions. My team helped me send out emails to ardent fans and gather the matter. On the basis of what they spoke and wrote back, I made the compositions.
Produced by Viki Rajani, Munna Michael is slated to hit the screens on 7 July.
