Salman Khan’s recent release Tubelight might not fall under the category of flops but falls under the disappointing category. Also, the film’s performance at the Box Office did not turn out to the standards of Salman. His earlier releases were critic-proof and received accolades from all quarters but Tubelight was all different and away from this. The film was also the lowest Eid opener and managed to earn a spot in the Rs 100 crore club on the eighth day of its release.
According to the reports, the Kabir Khan’s directorial earned Rs 4.25 crore on its second Friday. And till now, Tubelight has managed to do a business of Rs 111.11 crores. Bhai’s last release, Sultan, joined the Rs 100 crore club in the opening week and in half the. It seems the fans could not digest the never seen before side of Salman Khan and failed to connect with the movie.
Film critic Taran Adarsh said that Tubelight, the 1962 Indo-Sino war drama, has been rejected. He tweeted:

At such a pace the lifetime collections of Tubelight might come to be around just Rs 150 crore. The film also features Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub, Matin Rey Tangu and late actor Om Puri in pivotal roles.
