Tumhari Sulu trailer: Vidya Balan’s journey from saree-clad bhabhi to late night RJ looks fun

Vidya Balan returns to sultry and quirky avatar in Tumhari Sulu

The much-awaited film of Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu‘s trailer is out and it’s all fun. In the 02:31-minute trailer, Vidaya aka Sulochana can be seen essaying the role of a housewife who is a regular caller at a radio station and has won many pressure cookers in the contests until one day, she spots an opportunity of becoming a radio jockey. The trailer of this Suresh Triveni directorial playfully shows how a saree-vali bhabhi turning into a late night RJ. It also features Neha Dhupia as the head at a radio station.

Mavav Kaul, who has essayed negative roles in his previous movies, can be seen playing Vidya’s husband in the Tumhari Sulu. A few interesting onscreen moments show the ultimate chemistry between Manav and Vidya in the film. The trailer also shows that her husband is unhappy with the way Sulochana is handling her work and personal life.

Also, popular radio jockey RJ Malishka who plays the same role is in the film. The trailer also shows the new version of Hawa Hawai— a popular song, originally picturised on Sridevi in Mr India. It also has popular number Tum Meri Rani by originally sung by Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa.

Tumhari Sulu, a slice-of-life family film, will release worldwide on November 17. Recently, the release of the film was preponed. On the work front, Vidya was last seen in Begum Jaan. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the film featured Vidya in the role of a brothel owner.
