One of the most biggest films of the year, Dharma Productions’ Kalank, hit screens on Wednesday. Box office reports suggest that the film’s first-day collection stood at 21.6 crores, which is pretty decent to be honest. But will the film be able to sustain the hype around it? Going by the memes the film has inspired, we’re going to hark a guess and say maaaaaaaaaybe not.
A period drama set in the pre-independence era, this Abhishek Varman film has an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit.
The film’s dialogues especially have been facing a lot of heat for being deliberately flowery.
While we are yet to see how the film will fare in the coming week, but the internet has already delivered a verdict: the film matches its name.
