Twitter’s ‘politely’ reminding Shah Rukh Khan to give due credit for this tweet

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan introduced his upcoming movie, Aanand L Rai's Zero through a tweet but the lines were copied from elsewhere

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan introduced his upcoming movie’s title through a tweet in his usual witty style. Introducing Aanand L Rai’s Zero, he wrote ‘ टिकटें लिए बैठें हैं लोग मेरी ज़िंदगी की, तमाशा भी पूरा होना चाहिए!’ but Twitter spotted something wrong. Shah Rukh Khan picked up an author’s lines to introduce his movie’s title but forgot to give due credit.

टिकटें लिए बैठें हैं लोग मेरी ज़िंदगी की, तमाशा भी पूरा होना चाहिए!

As promised, here’s the title of @aanandlrai ‘s film. @AnushkaSharma #KatrinaKaif @RedChilliesEnt @cypplOfficial #2ZERO18 https://t.co/V7xtLY2k5u

The one-liner originally belongs to writer, Mithilesh Baria, and one of the first ones to point this out was renowned author and historian, Rana Safvi. Mithilesh has penned a popular Hindi book, ‘Choti Choti Baatein’.

Dear Shahrukh
The words you have used were written by @mithelesh in 2015.
Dont you feel he deserves credit?
As an artist I’m sure you will gladly acknowledge the work of another @iamsrk pic.twitter.com/uus2OhYafX

टिकेटें लेकर बैठें हैं मेरी ज़िन्दगी की कुछ लोग …. तमाशा भी भरपूर होना चाहिए …. #mbaria

Others followed suit. But unlike the usual distasteful trolling on social media, it was quite overwhelming to see that everyone was polite. May be considering the love for Shah Rukh Khan and his huge fan-following, Twitter wasn’t one bit obnoxious.

@mithelesh deserves the credits for his words coming right from his heart.
So Dear @iamsrk plz be noted and do visit his profile once. U will get to know his nice realistic thoughts which touches our souls.

Dear SRK,

Above lines are so beautiful but it will appear much much beautiful when the actual writer @mithelesh #mbaria will get its due credit.
You being a great actor, art lover, humble n responsible person… We are expecting you to understand this concern.
Thank You!

I believe, if you really loved the lines & found them appropriate for your promotion, the original writer @mithelesh deserve a word of love & encouragement from you.. #ZeroTheMovie

BTW this keeps happening with @mithelesh’s work, very often.. like he gets ‘quoted’ and then the lines are attributed to #PiyushMishra ji, and even #Gulzar Sb. at times 🙂

Dear @iamsrk, you will, we know 🙂 https://t.co/U3b6zT5RYF
