Veteran actor Vinod Khanna has been hospitalised after complaining of severe dehydration. The sitting Lok Sabha MP from Gurdaspur in Punjab is said to be stable is likely to be discharged soon.

Dad was hospitalised on Friday for severe dehydration. The situation was quickly brought under control, he’s doing much better and the doctors are looking to discharge him soon. Our family is most grateful for the extraordinary care he’s been receiving at the hospital and we are touched by all the good wishes pouring in,” Khanna’s eldest son Rahul Khanna said in a statement.

Khanna missed the trailer launch of his upcoming film Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi, in which he is sharing screen space with Hema Malini. He is playing the king of Gwalior whereas Malini essays the role of Vijaya Raje Scindia. A close associate of the actor said that his health condition is not serious and the doctors will discharge him soon.
