Trust Aamir Khan to come up with innovative strategies to promote his films and grab eyeballs. As Secret Superstar nears its release, Aamir Khan has taken a break from the marathon shooting schedule of Thugs of Hindostan to promote the much-anticipated film, which is slated to release this Diwali alongside Golmaal Again.
As a part of the campaign, Mr Perfectionist will have a candid chat with Indian cricket captain, Virat Kohli, and the same will be aired across the Zee Network. According to sources, the television network too has a big plan to promote the show. The network is set to add a roadblock advert across various channels for the big show which will air just ahead of Diwali.
Aamir, who is currently in Singapour to promote Secret Superstar, will fly down to Mumbai to shoot for the special show on October 3 and after wrapping up the shoot, he would fly to another country for film promotions. Khan has often been vocal about the fact that Secret Superstar was a very special film for him and his production house and he has shown confidence on the content of the film at several promotional events.
The actor was recently quoted saying that the film was much bigger than Dangal for him. “For me, Secret Superstar is a bigger film than Dangal,” said Aamir, while interacting with IANS. The film, directed by Advait Chandan chronicles the journey of a girl, hailing from a conservative Muslim family, who goes on to become a singer.
The movie stars Aamir Khan as a music director and his character from the film has already created a lot of intrigue for the audience. The actor will be seen in a very quirky avatar, a space that he has not explored in his 28-year-long career in the industry.
