In a heartwarming gesture, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi attended an acid attack victim’s wedding and gave her a gift for the lifetime. Vivek attended acid attack victim Lalita Bansi’s wedding and gave his blessing to the newly married couples.
Vivek considers Lalita Bansi as a sister and was happy to share the news that she got married. The ‘Omkar’ actor took to microblogging site Twitter and shared the pictures of Lalitha’s wedding along with him. He tweeted, ‘Amazng luv stry of my lil sistr Lalita Bansi, an acid attack survivor, gt married 2day 2 n amazng man Ravi Shankar who luvs her fr who she is!’

Lalitha works with the Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation running a small business selling mangos, while her husband, Ravishankar runs a business of his own. The couple plans to live in Andheri after the completion of Lalitha’s surgery in a house gifted to them by Vivek himself.

Soon Vivek will be seen on silver screen in his upcoming film Bank Chor which is set to release on June 16. The movie is directed by Ram Sampath. He will be seen along with Riteish Deshmukh, Rhea Chakraborty, Prakash Raj and Sahil Vaid.
Lalitha was allegedly attacked with acid by her cousins over a family dispute in 2012. She has so far undergone 17 surgeries. There are 12 more surgeries she needs to undergo.
Earlier, Vivek Oberoi’s company Karrm Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. donated 25 flats to the families of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) martyrs in Thane, Maharashtra. His organisation wrote a letter to the CRPF fraternity announcing the flats to the kin of the martyrs who lost their lives for the nation in different operations.
