Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan’s names whenever taken together have become the talk of the town. Vivek who will be seen portraying the role of a police officer in his upcoming film Bank Chor was recently compared to Salman who also played a cop in Dabangg series.
The actor, whose last Bollywood on-screen outing remains Great Grand Masti, is currently on a promotional spree for the film. According to reports, while promoting Bank Chor, Vivek was compared to Dabangg Khan in a press conference by paparazzi. He was asked, “If someone says ki police vala role to Tubelight vala zyada accha karta hai, what will you say?.”
Playing safe on the question by the reporter, Vivek smilingly gave his comments. He said “Bahut accha karta hai, aur jab part 3 (Dabaang 3) aaegi, I will watch it.”
He hosted an event to roast his Bank Chor co-star Riteish Deshmukh and welcomed the media, members of whom later roasted Riteish. Recalling the last incident when he called for a press conference in 2003, Vivek said, “Last time jab maine press conference bulayi thi, tab meri tashreef lag gayi thi… .”
In 2003, he called the press conference where he claimed that Salman threatened him over phone calls. Vivek was at that time allegedly in a relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Both the actors have had an unpleasant relationship and are famous for the most epic fight in the Bollywood.
Bank Chor features Riteish, Rhea Chakraborty and directed by Bumpy. The film will hit theatres on June 16.
