After releasing the trailer of Sachin: A Billion Dreams, the makers have now revealed the very first song from the film. Titled Hind Mere Jind, the song will give you a sneak peek of master blaster’s life and will bring a smile on your face. Sung by music maestro AR Rahman, the lyrics of the song are penned by Irshad Kamil.
The song chronicles the batting maestro recollecting his childhood memories. A young Sachin is seen sweating out at the nets under the watchful eyes of his coach Ramakant Achrekar. The 44-year-old legend is seen in a candid chat with his wife Anjali, as the fans are treated with rare footages from his marriage.
Sachin’s fans will be able to relive their icon’s exploits on the field, the monumental one being his upper cut six off Shoaib Akhtar in the crucial ICC World Cup 2003 match against Pakistan in South Africa’s Centurion Park. The Bharat Ratna awardee is also a devout follower of Lord Ganesha and is seen celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in the song.
At the trailer launch of his film on April 13, Sachin had revealed that the film would unravel the different side of his personality. The film has been directed by James Erskine.
In his 24-year-long career, Sachin represented India in 200 Tests, amassing 15,921 runs before calling it quits in 2013. In ODI cricket, he scored 18,426 runs in 463 matches. He also holds the record for scoring the maximum centuries in international cricket: 100. He is currently a Rajya Sabha MP.
