Bollywood lost yet another yesteryear heartthrob and brilliant actor in Vinod Khanna. The yesteryear actor, who died at the age of 70 after months of illness, was one of the first in the industry to have started off his career as a villain and moved on to playing the hero later.
Vinod Khanna was known equal parts for his acting prowess, good looks and dapper style. When at the peak of his career in 1982, the actor took a break, turned to his spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh and kept at the hiatus for a good five years. Born to a Punjabi family residing in Peshawar, Pakistan, Vinod Khanna was known as one of the most handsome actors of his time. Though he never achieved ‘superstar’ status in the typical sense of it, he did give us several hit soundtracks to ensure we never forget him.
Here’s a selection to play while you mourn this irreparable loss for Bollywood and for his fans.
