When one thinks of a movie starring Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi, images of the two actors playing lovelorn men who are in search of a meaning in their lives flood our minds. But the upcoming movie of these stars is far from what you have seen in Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya. Titled Irada, their next film is filled with many layers of mystery, at least that is what the trailer of the film hints at.
The trailer of the film that was released a short while ago showed Arshad in the role of a corrupt officer. A few seconds into the trailer, it is confirmed that he is not corrupt but behaves so in order to solve the case.
Irada revolves around a mysterious bomb blast in a business tycoon’s factory that prompts the Chief Minster of the state to launch a probe. An NIA officer (Arshad) is hired for the same and in his journey, he meets an ex-army officer (Naseeruddin Shah). The former army officer seeks revenge for the death of his daughter. In the quest of these two officers, a journalist (Sagarika Ghatge) joins them, too. Sharad Kelkar is seen playing a crooked factory owner.
How these three battle out with the conspirators forms the crux of the story.
The movie is helmed by Aparna Singh and will release on 17 February.
Another highlight of the trailer is the shayari style in which Naseeruddin Shah mouths his dialogues. His camaraderie with Arshad Warsi also grabs attention in the trailer.
