The trailer of Huma Qureshi and brother Saqib Saleem’s film Dobaara is here and it looks amazing. This is the duo’s first film together and they will be seen playing brother-sister on screen as well. Dobaara is the Hindi adaptation of Hollywood film Oculus, which is a supernatural psychological horror directed by Mike Flanagan.
Helmed by Prawaal Raman, the story of the film revolved around a young woman who is convinced that an antique mirror is responsible for the death and misfortune that her family suffered. Apart from Huma and Saqib, Dobaara also stars Lisa Ray, Adil Hussain and Rhea Chakraborty in prominent roles.
Huma believes remakes will always continue to intrigue audiences. “I think as long as remakes — whether it is a Hollywood film into a Hindi film or a southern film into whatever… They (remakes) always happen,” Huma told IANS. However, the 29-year-old actress stressed that the mainstay reaching out to a wider audience is good content.
In fact, Saqib Saleem also feels the same and said, ”Audiences these days like stories, you give them a good story, they’ll watch it. People go to a cinema hall to be entertained – be it by laughing, or by being scared or by crying – people just want to go there and feel that ‘we have bought a 300 rupees ticket, it is worth it and the film made me feel something.”
Well, after looking at the trailer we just can’t wait any longer to watch the film. And in case you have not watched the original Hollywood flick Oculus, here’s a look at the trailer and the Hindi version is exactly the same:
The film is all set to hit the screen on June 2 this year.
