The trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Raabta was unveiled on Monday. The actor along with co-star Kriti Sanon was present during the trailer launch event. However, Sushant lost his cool when a reporter asked his views on Kulbhushan Jadhav, the Indian national who has been sentenced to death by Pakistan over allegations of spying.
“I think one should not be giving his/her opinion without being well informed,” Sushant retorted when asked by the journalist during the press conference. Things turned ugly when the duo got involved in a heated argument over the issue. The reporter argued that the question was not a personal one but pertained to the national interest. “To be able to condemn or not, one must be knowing the facts related to it” he added. There is nowhere written that a public figure should know everything, the MS Dhoni: An Untold Story actor said.
Kulbhushan Jadhav is a former Indian navy official sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage and working for India’s intelligence agency RAW. He was arrested from Balochistan on March 3 last year on suspicion of trying to cause unrest in the region. It should be noted that Sushant Singh Rajput is portraying the role of an Indian spy in his upcoming film Romeo Akbar Walter.
Directed by Dinesh Vijan, Raabta releases on 9 June.
