Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt make a great on-screen couple with their sizzling chemistry. After making their Bollywood debut together in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, the duo shared the screen space in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and its sequel Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Both the stars have collaborated again, this time not for a film but for a social cause.
Varun and Alia are a part of the cleanliness campaign which is led by Adar Poonawala. The project is titled as Clean City Initiative and a video promoting cleanliness has been released. Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, the video features the Badrinath Ki Dulhania actors starring as the Shakespearean characters of Romeo and Juliet and speak in a funny Bihari dialect. It’s great to see the actors use humour to promote an important social cause like cleanliness so as to attain widest possible reach.
This is not the first time that celebrities have joined hands for the cause of cleanliness. Celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Shilpa Shetty, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and others have supported cleanliness campaigns in the past.
