Why did Shah Rukh Khan apologise to Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj?

Shah Rukh Khan will host the Indian version of TED Talks India: Naya Soch, that begins in August this year

Shah Rukh Khan is shooting for TED Talks with Karan Johar and Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj. However, an unfortunate turn of events led the actor to apologize to the star cricketer. Well, there is nothing to panic about. It so happened that both Karan and SRK were reportedly late and the shooting was delayed for more than three hours.

According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan personally went up to Mithali Raj and apologized for the delay in turning up at the location. He also went a step further and helped the 34-year-old cricketer to prepare for her speech on the stage. The theme of both KJo and Raj’s speech was Changing Relationships.

Shah Rukh Khan is hosting the Indian version of TED Talks India, titled TED Talks India: Nayi Soch. The shooting is underway and the promo will be aired in October. It will be a mixture of Hindi and English speakers on one platform.

According to reports, TED Talks India will be telecast on Star Plus and will have 14 episodes. It is also said that the series will clash with Bigg Boss 11 – The reality television show to be hosted by Salman Khan which begins in September and will go on till January next year.

Shah Rukh is pretty excited for the show, and we know it from a statement that he gave recently. “People will share stories about changes in society, in life — whether it’s about the climate, dangerous diseases or to help empower women — and all of this will be integrated. There are some beautiful stories — both Indian and international — which the team is planning to get on one platform and do a nice mix of Hindi and English speakers. I feel it will be a niche show.”
