Indian actress Deepika Padukone made a stunning appearance at MTV Europe Music Awards 2016 (EMA)’s red carpet. Wearing a customised Monisha Jaising risque gown, the xXx: The Return of Xander Cage beauty made the heads turned at the event. Her look at the event comprised a sparkly black bustier top and an olive green voluminous skirt with a thigh-high slit, a giant Balmain black belt, fringed Valliyan earrings and Misho rings. A simple pair of black heels further complimented the look. Was it a look to fall for in one go? Yes, it was.
Deepika rocks edgier looks with much oomph at home grounds too. But, sporting a revealing look and making it look classy at international events definitely requires some courage. Deepika, to her credit, made this Jaising look work to the T.

However, our folks at Daily Mail didn’t quite like this look and termed it as a ‘Bollywood Blunder’. They captioned Deepika’s images from the red carpet of TV EMA as ‘Bollywood blunder: Indian actress Deepika Padukone may be stunning but her swamp green bra-let and skirt combo did nothing for her sensational figure’. Deepika’s green look is not just sexy, but also seems very thoughtful. And the fact that she flaunted an Indian designer at the international red-carpet make us give brownie points to her. The smokey eye makeup and a smile on her face filled the gaps and balanced her look further. Also, that colour is quite an unusual one. Wearing a black, red, white, pink or a tangerine (since it’s in vogue) is a norm at the red carpet, going for an olive green definitely calls for a quick notice and appreciation.
