Prabhas is now an international star following the stupendous success of Baahubali: The Conclusion. The entire world cannot stop talking about his performance in the SS Rajamouli directorial. Baahubali 2 has grossed more than Rs 1,400 crore worldwide. The 37-year-old actor will soon be seen in trilingual film Saho.

1. Prabhas’s full name is Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati. His father Suryanarayana Raju was a film producer, whose famous venture is 2009 blockbuster Billa. A Telugu remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 hit Don, the film had Prabhas and Anushka Shetty in lead role. On the other hand, his uncle Krishnam Raju is a renowned actor and now a politician. Prabhas earned a BTech degree from Hyderabad.
2. Prabhas teamed up with SS Rajamouli for the first time in 2005 when he starred in Chhatrapati. The Telugu hit that had Shriya Saran opposite him, proved to be a runaway success. He also starred in films like Varsham, Darling, Ek Niranjan and others.
3. Prabhas is the first South Indian actor to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Bangkok. Even Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan are yet to have a statue of their own.

4. Recently at an interview, Prabhas revealed that if he had not been an actor, he would probably end up being hotelier. He claimed to be the laziest person around.
5. Prabhas has gained a lot of accolades for playing the titular role of Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali in both the franchise. But do you know how much hard work he put in for the characters he essayed on the silver screen? He put on 30 kgs for the second part and trained for 30 days for a single action sequence. He also set up a volleyball court and imported gym equipment at his home at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore.

6. Prabhas did not sign a single film during the filming of Baahubali.

7. According to reports, he rejected endorsement offers worth Rs 18 crore. Hats off to his dedication.
8. Prabhas did a cameo in Prabhudheva’s 2014 action film Action Jackson that had Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. He shared screen space with Sonakshi in the song Surya Ast.
9. While directors across India and abroad are eager to work with Prabhas, he is fond of a Bollywood filmmaker. He is none other than Rajkumar Hirani. The Baahubali actor has seen Munnabhai MBBS and 3 Idiots at least 20 times.
