Excelsior! Heartfelt Tribute Pours In For, Stan Lee, The Man Who Gave Us Many Superheroes

One gets the feeling that in spite of Stan Lee's distaste for sentimentality, he would have been left teary-eyed by some of the tributes.

Stan Lee, the big daddy of the Marvel comic book universe, has passed away at the age of 95. Born Stanley Martin Lieber, he co-created some of the most iconic comic book heroes. From The Amazing Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers (the biggest export of the MCU), the Incredible Hulk and the Fantastic Four.

It’s no surprise that the news has shattered many fans across the world. But, along with expressing sadness, most of these fans are putting out the most heartfelt tributes.

Here are some of the best ones:

Kevin Feige, the MCU chief, reached out to the man who ‘impacted his career’ unlike anyone else through the official account of the MCU.

Here’s what the actors working in the MCU reacted to the sad news. As Mark Ruffalo (who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk) puts it, Lee will rest in power, and not just peace.

Robert Downey Jr, synonymous as Tony Stark/Iron Man, thanked Lee saying he owes it all to him.

Captain America himself, made the bold declaration that there will ‘never be another Stan Lee’. Such was his range of work spanning five decades.

The directors of Avengers: Infinity War weighed in for the creator of their source material.

Wolverine shared this beautiful tribute to the grand old man of Marvel comics.

Others from the Marvel Cinematic Universe also reacted to the new about the man, largely responsible for their worldwide fame.
