What’s the issue all about?
Last year, Rakhi sparked a row when she made a controversial remark against sage Valmiki who wrote Ramayana. The remark angered the Valmiki community and the members blocked the Adampur-Hoshiarpur Highway in Punjab for more than an hour. On July 13, around members of Valmiki Tiger Force had also halted the Shatabdi Express at Jalandhar railway station, demanding stern action against Rakhi. The members gave a deadline to the civic administration to act or face stringent protest. On July 26, the local court issued summons to her on the basis of a complaint filed by a lawyer named Narendra Aadia. But Rakhi did not appear for hearing on July 29. Despite repeated summons, the actor did not appear for the hearing on March 9 and hence the arrest warrant was issued against her.
