Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Japanese trailer confirms Keira Knightley’s return as Elizabeth Swann

The latest Japanese trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales teased the return of Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann.

The latest international trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been released and it has a special surprise for fans. Apparently, Keira Knightley, who plays the role of Elizabeth Swann, will make a startling return in the fifth instalment of the film series. Swann and her lover Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) were last seen in the third movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.

When the return of the captain of the Flying Dutchman, Will Turner, was teased, fans started to wonder if his wife will make a return as well. In the new Japanese trailer, Knightley was seen for a flash, revealing her presence in the movie.

Aside from bringing these two iconic lovers back again, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, which is also known as Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge, will also be introducing their son Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites). The new trailer also offered a few never-seen-before scenes of our favourite Jack Sparrow’s humorous quip and his foe Captain Salazar. Salazar is an undead pirate from the Spanish Navy who had been trapped in the Devil’s Triangle. Following his escape, he seeks the Trident of Poseidon and, of course, revenge on Sparrow.

The film stars Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Kevin McNally and Geoffrey Rush with Bardem playing the role of the ghastly Armando Salazar. The film will hit the screens on May 26 against Priyanka Chopra starrer Baywatch.
