This year featured some of the greatest superhero films like Deadpool, Suicide Squad, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War. Yet, this is only the beginning. 2016 set the stage for much bigger films in 2017. Batman vs Superman introduced Wonder Woman, who will get an independent origins film releasing next year and the film will be followed by Justice League.
Marvel is all geared up with four movies of its own. This year too, Marvel outshone DC, where the only redeeming factor was Wonder Woman. The much-awaited Suicide Squad also turned out to be a disappointing mess with Cara Delevingne barely acting as the Enchantress. The upcoming DC movies seem more upbeat than Zack Snyder’s regular sullen films. With Snyder taking a break and handing over the reigns of Wonder Woman to Patty Jenkins, the future of DC looks quite promising. Anyway, here is the full list of all the superhero films releasing next year.
Logan
Hugh Jackman will appear as Wolverine for the last time in this Marvel film. A worn-down Logan takes upon one last adventure in a post-apocalyptic future, symbolic of Jackman’s last appearance as the character. Most, if not all, of the X-Men are dead in this timeline and Logan has been tasked with protecting a child mutant, speculated to be X-23.
