In Pics: Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte rock the common man avatar in Padman

Akshay Kumar has recently begun shooting for his upcoming film Padman, which also stars Radhika Apte in the role of his wife. The movie went on floors on March 14 this year and marks the debut of Khiladi Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna’s production venture Mrs Funnybones Movies.

The actor who is currently shooting in Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh also shared a picture of him with wife Twinkle from the location in which the duo can be seen holding hands as they overlook a water body. And now some other pictures from the sets are doing rounds on the internet.

Presently, Radhika Apte and Akshay Kumar are shooting for the first song of Padman and all their fan clubs have already started posting their pictures, revealing their respective looks from the film. In the pictures, Akshay and Radhika can be seen riding a bicycle and undoubtedly, the duo looks good together.

While Radhika was seen sporting a saree with her hair tied in a bun and covered with a gajra, Akshay wore a pant shirt, doing complete justice to his common man look. Directed by R Balki, Padman is the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who made sanitary napkins. The film will showcase his journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.

The idea of the story is interesting and has already increased the curiosity among the audience. This is for the first time that Radhika and Akshay have shared the screen space and this film will altogether be a different experience for both the actors. Padman is slated to hit the screens on October 18 this year.
